Quatro Casas Surf Guide

In English it's "Four Houses," but whatever you call it, there's no mistaking this high-quality right-hand reef/semi-pointbreak, nicely sheltered from wind by kelp and the bluffs, very popular and hence often crowded. A summertime favorite for SoCal longboarders/campers, the reef catches lots of south swell. It also breaks in winter on any clean northwest pulse. The more west, the better. It's all very organized, with several other reef breaks in the vicinity. Not hollow and not too long, it's just a fun, playful place to surf, and it's not too far out of the way, particularly for San Diegans.
