Today

Down from the past couple days, still fun. Winds staying on the lighter side, morning is cleanest.

Dawn to 10:00AM: Fading SSW swell for mainly waist-chest high zone surf at exposures in the morning while focal points go head high. Clean early window, staying nice in town for the tide push.

Afternoon Outlook: Shape softens up by late AM/midday. Some WSW wind wrapping into town for a little texture, staying pretty clean behind a headland or some kelp. Late afternoon/evening high tide will slow down tide sensitive spots.

The Hook Surf Guide

Not a great wave, but a pretty wave. The Hook can be frustrating because it's tucked well inside the bay and is inconsistent on all but the biggest swells. On bigger swells, and particularly those rare macking S swells, the Hook transforms from a mediocre wave to a good wave.
