16th St. South Surf Guide
In general, it's another semi-mushy wave that turns on and off with the rest of Cocoa Beach, serving as a better high-tide spot than Brevard's southern coast, while occasionally getting blocked from NNE swells by the Cape. Still, there's plenty of room for surfers to spread out and the sandbars are constantly changing.
Local Vibe
Pretty mellow overall.
Crowd Factor
Plenty of room to spread out, but can get a crowd on a good peak.
Spot Rating
Pretty average spot overall; head this direction on out of control NE swells.
Shoulder Burn
Not too bad but can be challenging when the surf is bigger.

Usually very clean.
Hazards
Watch for occasional shark or man-o-war.
