Another one of the numerous groins in Galveston, 43rd can provide some good peaks on both sides. Usually less crowded than several of the other spots on the island.

Relatively positive. Be cool and keep it that way.

Moderate.
Spot Rating
One of the more consistent peaks on the seawall.
Shoulder Burn
Can be tough to stay in position if it is breaking outside the jetty.
Water Quality
Proximity to Houston shipping channel and runoff from Galveston equals often not the best water quality.

Strong currents near the jetty.
Access
Easy, paid parking on the seawall.

Sand.
