Alnes Lighthouse (Godoy) Surf Guide

It's a spectacular crossing over the bridge to the island of Godoya, where, sticking out from the northwestern corner like a thumb, is the Alnes peninsula, famous for its lighthouse. On the exposed southwestern side of the headland is the bay of Sandvika, home to a consistent, high quality right that breaks over large boulders, peeling through to the sandy beach. This is a long, reeling wave that can handle a big swell, the cobalt blue walls often breaking double overhead. Beware - boulders can appear on the inside section. On the southern side of the beach a fast left breaks over rocks. Works at a smaller size than the right.
