Barnegat Light Surf Guide
Barnegat Light isn’t a specific break but a 1.5-miles beach on the northernmost point of Long Beach Island. Most of the stretch is very fickle and the surf is completely dependent on ever-shifting sandbars. The best surf tends to be in the middle of town. The northern section nearest Barnegat Inlet doesn’t break. Best wind is west. Chances of scoring Barnegat Light are tough.

Access
Most remote spot on Long Beach Island. Parking in the street is free and easy, but it’s a very long walk to the surf through the dunes and across a wide beach. Wheelchair accessible. Beach Badge required during guarded hours in the summer.
