Bheemi Point Surf Guide
More than two hours north of Vizag on the coast road is the last in a series of right points at Bheemunipatnam. A popular spot for local Indian tourists, the area is famous for its long, white-sand beach. There is a good right point here also, with sand from a nearby rivermouth and enough power for short and longboards. The beach can be crowded with domestic tourists, but foreigners seldom come to this part of India. The wave is a quick takeoff followed by a wall and several fast sections. Works best on the dry-season westerly wind and can handle a southwest, but better on a straight west.
