Cables Surf Guide
In 1999, Cables became the site of the first artificial surfing reef in the world. Funded by the state government, granite rocks were arranged in a giant undersea pyramid to create a sort of limp peak. However, beggars certainly can't be choosers, it can go off to perfection few times a year and then dormant. Needs a big swell to break to its potential, preferably with a westerly direction to get out of Rottnest's shadow.
