Catherine Hill Bay Surf Guide

Catherine Hill Bay is one of the most consistent beachbreaks south of Newcastle. Due to its halfmoon shape, it is capable of handling swell from both the northeast and southeast. It can handle swells up to 6- 8-foot. It is best with southwest to northwest winds. It is quite a versatile setup, consistent and quite powerful at times for a beachbreak. A bit of a swell magnet, it often has some sort of a sandbar options. The northern end generally has the better banks.
