A neat, little lefthand sand point, this well-known wave breaks off of the headland and peels into the bay; on bigger days you can surf all the way over to the pier. An easy wave with a bit of punch (even some tube sections), Cerro Azul is a great alternative to the bustle within Punta Hermosa, and is also a favored getaway for surfers seeking a refined lefthander over Punta Hermosa's chunky rights. Picks up plenty of swell and has reliable good shape and length.
