Dolphinarium Surf Guide
Dolphinarium beach is a winter friend. When every other spot around is blown-out, you can find a few fun rides here. Protection by two T-shaped jetties and a little bit of shadowing by the port of Jaffa helps this spot during the winter storms. It actually needs strong, sideshore SSW winds to work. Make sure to check it even when it’s out of control.

Crowd Factor
Super crowded when it’s on, as it’s the only spot around that can handle the really big, stormy days.
Spot Rating
The Dolphinarium can provide some decent surf when everything else is blown out. As long as it’s shoulder-high with WSW or SSW winds, this spot is the better option around.
Shoulder Burn
Easy paddle next to one of the jetties.
Water Quality
There’s an exit pipe for the rainwater drainage system, so this spot will stink more than others during the winter months.
