Lighthouse Surf Guide
Kingston's homebreak, Lighthouse is a shallow reef that produces a short, hollow, sucking right and a long, fickle left. The right barrel is one of the best on the island when it's on and the left does a pretty good Zoo impersonation with swell from just the right angle.
Local Vibe
Mellow.
Crowd Factor
Generally not that crowded.
Spot Rating
One of the better spots on the island, nearby is the Jamnesia surf camp. It's a bit out there and a spot more suited for experienced surfers.
Shoulder Burn
Easy overall but can get challenging on hurricane swells.
Water Quality
Nice Caribbean water.
Hazards
Watch reef.
Access
Park right there.
Bottom
reef
Best Season
November-March, August-September
