Long Branch Surf Guide
: Long Branch isn’t a specific break but a series of breaks over 3 miles of beach in the coastal city of Long Branch with a series of jetties, some more pronounced than others. The better waves on most swells are south of Pier Village. Long, storied surf town with ever changing breaks based on sandbars and replenishment that gets very good, particularly on south to southeast swells, it can handle some size and breaks closer to the beach. Best on west winds but can handle quite a bit of southeast wind.

Heavier wave, often crowded, mind the jetties and drift.
Access
Some free street parking, expensive parking in the lots by Pier Village and can be hard to come by in the summer. Six different spots for wheelchair accessibility. Surfing is allowed anywhere outside the swim flags in the summer. Beach Badge required, but access to surf is free.
