Monaliza Point Surf Guide

Monaliza is one of the better-known spots in the Philippines, a longish right point in the province of La Union on the South China Sea. Working consistently in the November-February northeast monsoon season, the wave is less powerful than the typhoon swells on the Pacific side. The point is a reef shelf, fairly flat, which catches all swells from the N and NW and bends them into long lines, with various sections on different tides. It's a super-fun hotdog wave.
