Muddy's Surf Guide
Not far by sea from Kumari Point is Muddy's, a thick and hollow left reef break. Muddy's faces a different direction on the other side of the peninsula from Kumari, so it takes a different wind. Quite handy, as when one side is onshore, the other side is offshore.Muddy's features a thick and hollow peak takeoff, with a wrapping bowl section and a clean exit into a deep channel. The wave is quite far from the narrow beach, with an expanse of calm lagoon after a coral berm that is exposed at low tide. The reef here isn't particularly shallow or dangerous, and the wave is much shorter than Kumari. The water is very warm, and the wave works on a northeast wind, common in the dry season. Once the southwest monsoon season arrives, the wave is trashed by onshores and inaccessible by boat. This wave, like Kumari Point, is in an extremely remote location. There is nothing on the beach other than stunted trees bent by the six months of constant onshore winds during the southwest monsoon season.
