Easing E swell with clean fun waist-chest high waves still midday. S winds add side texture later.
Midday: Easing but still fun surf midday. Mostly waist-stomach high, with some chest high sets for the better breaks. Conditions are clean with light varying winds at lunch, but it seems like S winds will develop any minute. Still worthwhile surf, but maybe grab a floatier board as it is easing.
Afternoon Outlook: Winds look to trend a bit more sideshore S/SSW into the afternoon for increasing side texture. Still manageable, but not as good as the morning.

Nags Head Pier Surf Guide
The sandbars around Nags Head Pier have been reasonably reliable over recent years, but of varying quality and location. The north side of the pier has seen the most action lately, but between the south side and Curlew Street occasionally shines when the sand is right. Given the focus of the best sand typically isn't right up against the pier (which technically you need to be 300 feet from anyway), it is possible to score a fun, lightly attended session here from time to time.
