Ogmore Beach Surf Guide

A versatile beach-break that can deliver fun waves across all stages of the tide. Unlike many nearby spots, the surf here can continue to break even on big spring high tides, often making it one of the only workable options in the area—something that quickly draws a crowd. Wave size is typically strongest on the incoming tide, though outgoing neap tides shouldn’t be overlooked as swell generally holds its size. The beach is popular with both tourists and surfers and can become very busy, particularly during summer and on those large high tides so expect to share the lineup. Generally not suitable for beginners due to strong and potentially dangerous rip currents, especially near the river mouth.
