Packery Channel Jetties Surf Guide

Packery Channel is a small, shallow draft channel that runs from the Laguna Madre (the flats and the Intracoastal Waterway) to the Gulf of Mexico on the southern edge of the J.P. Luby park. The jetties provide protection from the consistent side shore currents and provide above average sandbanks on either side. The north side is dominated by longer boards in the summer looking for a reprieve from the dominant South winds. While the south side can come alive on North East and East swells in the Fall through Spring.
