Parangtritis Surf Guide
Located just outside of Kretek in Central Java, Parangtritis is a beach break set up with numerous peaks that pick up consistent swell all year. Fun but not mind-blowing, this is a great option for beginners or surfers looking for some sand-bottom alternatives to Indonesia's multitude of reef breaks.

The local surf scene is pretty friendly.

Find your way to Kretek then drive past the Parangkusumo Sand Dunes and park for free at Squid Surf Shop.
