Pensacola Pier Surf Guide

Greek mythology has the Phoenix; Pensacola surfing has the pier. Just kidding. Actually, the wave never died. And the crowd never left, even after a hurricane destroyed the structure and clean-up crews pulled the pilings. But after being called Pier Parking Lot for almost 10 years, the it's good to see the namesake come back to life along with the better sandbars.

Decent spot overall and the pier affords wind protection. One side can be much better than the other depending on the sand. This spot can handle some size and have seen it easily hold 3x overhead hurricane surf.
