Picnic Tables Surf Guide
Patrick Air Force Base, offering similar breaks including Picnic Tables, First and Second Light and Hangers, also features the first signs of coquina -- sedimentary shelves of reef-like rock that run all the way south into Indialantic and make getting in out of the water potentially hazardous. Driving south from Cocoa Beach, Picnic Tables is the first parking lot on the left. The wave is usually peaky and fun, provided there is a bit of a swell.
