Skate Park/Boulari Pass Surf Guide
A shallow left-hand reef in the middle of a wide pass, inside the lagoon, producing thick and hollow waves surrounded by nothing but water. Swells roll through the pass and bend around this reef, facing into the trade wind, so it's usually offshore and a bit smaller than other nearby reef passes. But this is a very heavy wave that never closes out and is quite treacherous when it is small due to the reef hazards. On medium-sized days it is more of a hot-dog wave with lots of barrels thrown in for good measure. One of New Caledonia's most consistent waves, and within decent proximity to Noumea.
