Sugar Shack Surf Guide
Around the north side of Tybee island is a sand point setup that works well on more solid ENE/NE windswells. Go to the big anchor and turn off the street, left. Follow it around to the Sugar Shack restaurant and follow the walkway to the beach. Mid to high tide works best.

Can offer a fun little wave on its day, but overall not a surf destination.

Hard NE and SW winds can produce strong currents, but generally pretty mellow.

Strong currents and miscellaneous sea creatures.

Easy access, though parking may be a problem in the summer months. Bring change for meters.
