Table Top Surf Guide

Table Top is one of the first waves as you come around PR's northwest corner, just north of Surfer's Beach. The name is fitting in a couple ways: the flat, exposed reef looks kinda like a table; the barrel is round and right in front of the cliff, ensuring that you will, at some point, eat it. This is a serious wave, though. If you have it wired you sit right in front of the rock and take off right next to it, and there's little option other than pulling in. The takeoff zone is tight and can get a little heated; stay cool, stay high in the tube, and smile.
