Tolcarne Surf Guide

Reasonably consistent, dependable stretch of beachbreak. But the Tolcarne Wedge is its most known spot. As the tide rises, waves collide with the cliff at the point between Great Western and Tolcarne, refracting into a wedge -- and many consider it the best bodyboarding wave in the UK. On a 5.5m+ tide with a small swell, it throws up bowly, half-pipe shaped sections that are great for aerials — though on bigger tides (7m+) you need more swell to make it work. It's mainly a bodyboarder's wave.
