Cape Romain is the most exposed spot on the South Carolina coast. Before venturing to Bulls or Cape Romain, it's probably a good idea to let the Coast Guard know...in case you go missing. This entire area is characterized by vast stretches of salt marsh and wooded maritime islands.This spit of sand/beachbreak is only accessible by boat, and it does get surf that the rest of the state doesn't see. Works on all swells and is especially well-exposed to hurricane energy. Read more
