Well overhead surf as Bertha passes by. Strong SE to S winds limit options.
No shortage of surf as the center of Bertha passes just offshore. It is head high to well overhead but stormy for all but the most protected spots.
We'll have strong SSE to S winds most of the day which is going to negatively impact the shape and quality of the surf. That said, not often we have waves this size in the summer, so I'd be ready to work and make the most of it. Know your limits if you do decide to paddle out.

The Inlet Beach Pier used to be off limits because it was some corporation's summer camp. They chased surfers off the beach for years, until the State of Florida recently purchased it, making it Camp Helen State Park. Unfortunately, you cannot drive into the park, but the pier can be accessed now from the community west of the pier.The pier is at a coastal lake outflow, like Grayton Beach, making for a great sandbar, good waves most of the year and zero crowds.
