Waist to shoulder high ESE trending SE windswell, biggest out west. NE trending E/ESE winds.
Fun surf around to start with manageable winds. Some drift and current to contend with but a nice morning to get some waves.
Stronger Bertha swell fills in today. Initially this will be from the ESE before trending more SE through the day. We'll get the most size out west but winds become an issue there. It'll be cleaner but smaller around PCB.
Expect the most size to show by the end of the day -- know your limits but take advantage of the surf while we have it.

Mexico Beach Surf Guide
Mexico Beach is clearly one of the most beautiful, unspoiled areas of the Panhandle - a small fishing town with an inlet and a pier. The pier is the main surf spot and gets very good after cold fronts and hurricanes. The swell has to be large enough to get past Crooked Island Pass, but both sides of the pier break, as do the beaches east of the pier. Plan for very hollow and powerful right tubes. Keep in mind that this town was devastated by Hurricane Michael and continues to be rebuilt. Read more
