The Knap Surf Guide

The most popular spot in the glorious sea-side town of Barry with fun, beach-break peaks at just about all stages of the tide when there’s a decent/solid swell running in the Channel. As with most spots in the area the surf will stop breaking on big, spring high-tides so those should be avoided. The surf will generally be biggest on the incoming tide but don’t discount an out-going, neap tide as the surf heights won’t ease too much. Never crowded but there is a talented crew of local surfers who hold this spot very dear to their hearts, share nicely.
