Fun, chunky surf with strong SSW/S winds. Biggest surf in a while -- take advantage.
Stronger windswell with better spots seeing surf in the waist to chest high range while standouts are bigger than that. SSW/S winds mean spots that are biggest are choppy and disorganized but some wind protection offers cleaner conditions and better shape.

Venice Jetties is ground zero for the Gulf Coast surf scene — attracting the biggest crowds and holding the biggest swells. Hard-packed sandbars indented with rock jetties almost guarantee wedgey thrills. The South Jetties in particular are veritable NW swell magnets.
