A long stretch of sand with high tide shingle, that stretches south to Withernsea, broken by groynes and rocky sea defences. Banks form around groynes, best at lower tides in smaller, clean, northerly or northeasterly swells when lefts can run down the beach in long walls. However, beware of longshore drift when the size picks up - be sure to pick a line-up and keep it in view. Can be merciless. Read more
